Synopsis

The Principles of Communism is a programmatic outline of the communist movement, written by Friedrich Engels in 1847 as preparatory material for the Communist Manifesto. The manuscript survived among Engels's papers after his death and was first published by Eduard Bernstein in Berlin in 1914. The work is structured as a series of questions and answers.

Second edition published in 1921 by Ukrainski Robitnychi Visty (Ukrainian Labor News) in Winnipeg, Canada. Translated from German with a preface by Volodymyr Levynskyi.
