Synopsis

In this brochure, the author attempts to describe the content and revolutionary-practical significance of Marxist-Leninist positions on the ways of transition of capitalist countries to socialism. He criticises revisionist theories that consider a peaceful way of this transition possible, and dogmatic theories that consider this process to be the same for all nations. Referring to Lenin's ideas, the author explores the specific features of socialist revolution and the contradictions of imperialism. According to the author, revisionist theories do not take into account the objective laws of class struggle, while dogmatic views are based on outdated ideas about self-sufficient revolutionarity. The author concludes that under certain historical circumstances, it is necessary to consider the possibility of a non-peaceful transition to socialism, especially if the peaceful path proves impossible.
