Synopsis

Rudnytskyi's publication is devoted to his reflections on the expediency of holding a Slavic philosophical congress in Prague, initiated by the Croatian philosopher V. Dvornikovic. According to Rudnytskyi, the purpose of this congress was to define the characteristic features of the Slavic spirit and to reveal the unity of the Slavs.

In the author's opinion, holding such a congress provides an opportunity to reflect on a number of pressing issues for Slavic philosophers, including the reasons for the absence of a world-class Slavic philosopher. Rudnytskyi himself is pessimistic about the fate of the professionalism of Slavic philosophers and, in particular, about Ukraine's participation in the aforementioned congress. He criticizes the tendency of Slavic philosophers to abstract reasoning without the ability to apply it in a systematic way, about the low level of activity of Ukrainian philosophers due to their small number and the lack of publications.

Rudnytskyi believes that holding such a congress is not necessary, as world-class philosophers are primarily interested in the direct philosophical achievements of authors, not sentimental regional manifestations.
