The Ukrainian translation of Leon Feer’s (French orientalist) buddhological articles, made by the famous Ukrainian writer Ivan Franko.

Feer’s original articles were written for the «Grande Encyclopédie, inventaire raisonné des sciences, des lettres, et des arts» (Vol. 7, 579-609). Before Ukrainian translation was released as a separate edition, it was published in parts in the first two volumes of the periodical «Zhyttie i Slovo» (1894).
