Synopsis

This book is about P. I. Linitskyi (1839—1906), honoured ordinary professor of philosophy at the Kyiv spiritual academy, his time and contemporaries. The book is based on the analysis of the philosopher's scientific works, archival documents and materials of the Central State Archive of Ukraine, and literary sources of the middle and end of the last century. It is intended for scholars and teachers of philosophy in higher education institutions, postgraduates, students, and anyone who wants to get acquainted with the Ukrainian spiritual and academic philosophy of the second half of the XIX — early XX centuries.
