In the article, Myroslav Popovych attempts to clarify the role of science in productive resolution of social crises in a short and popular form. The author emphasizes that a scientist needs a sufficient level of abstraction from specific historical circumstances; in his opinion, this leads to a sober assessment and the most successful solution to a social crisis.
