In the article, the author problematizes how to reconcile the idea of the brain as a complex mechanism with the thesis that it is impossible to mechanize mental activity. He believes that the function of thinking is speech and raises the question of the possibility of a cybernetic model of thinking. He concludes that such a model is possible, but leaves the remark that any model is poorer than the original.
