The bibliography, created on the initiative of the Institute of Philosophy, includes articles, monographs and collections of texts devoted to the study of the history of Ukrainian philosophy. The list includes 427 works arranged in alphabetical order and published between 1939 and 1959.

In addition to Marxist-Leninist works, the list includes a significant number of works analysing the works of such Ukrainian authors as Lesia Ukraiinka, Ivan Franko, Hryhorii Skovoroda, and others. The list also includes research by Ivan Golovakha, Volodymyr Shynkaruk, Valeriia Nichyk and other Ukrainian Soviet authors.
