Positions. Conversations with Henri Ronse, Juliia Kristeva, Jean-Louis Houdebine, Guy Scarpetta (Trans. from Fr. by Anatolii Sytnyk): Kyiv, Dukh i Litera, 1994, 158 p.
Synopsis
The book «Positions» (1972) by the French philosopher, one of the most prominent exponents of poststructuralism, Jacques Derrida (b. 1930), interprets the main ideas of the scholar in the form of interviews. The main objects of his critical examination are the texts of Western European metaphysics with its inherent “onto-theo-teleo-phalo-phono-logocentrism,” according to Derrida, which is based on the understanding of being as presence. He sees the conditions for overcoming metaphysics in such a means of philosophical work as deconstruction.
