This article is a review of the 1997–1998 publications of the journal «Duh i Litera». The author emphasizes the significant contribution of these publications to the development of Ukrainian humanities. The text mentions Ukrainian translations of works by the following authors: Simone Weil, Blaise Pascal, Lev Shestov, Emmanuel Levinas, and many others. Rychka also comments on the publication of a conversation between Kostiantyn Sigov and Paul Ricoeur, as well as on the works of Ihor Shevchenko, Olha Siedakova, Oksana Zabuzhko, and a number of other materials. The article addresses not only Ukrainian projects but also international initiatives.
