Synopsis

This text is a translation by Kateryna Demchuk of a Russian-written review by Andreas Umland. The review is devoted to the work Fascism by Roger D. Griffin and his assistant Matthew Feldman. Fascism is a five-volume anthology that thoroughly examines most historical phenomena, methodological problems, and conceptual and terminological issues in the study of fascism. In addition, the author mentions and analyzes other important contemporary publications that address the problem of fascism, such as Fascism and Neofascism: Critical Writings on the Radical Right in Europe, Der Faschismus in Europa 1918–1945, The Seduction of Unreason: The Intellectual Romance with Fascism from Nietzsche to Postmodernism, and others. Overall, the review presents a range of works recommended for researchers, which together form a diverse and profound understanding of the problems and ideas in the field.
