The article analyzes the philosophical and political ideas of Slavoj Žižek. The author traces how Žižek combines Marxist critique of ideology with Lacanian psychoanalysis, creating a unique intellectual system aimed at understanding the possibilities of action in the era of postmodern skepticism. Particular attention is paid to his concept of the “gesture of the possible” as a form of political act that goes beyond the symbolic order and opens up space for new thinking and social practices.
Yemets-Dobronosova analyzes the interaction of radical theorism and political utopia in Žižek's work, considering his interpretation of Lenin's legacy, his critique of the neoliberal consensus, and his controversial attitude toward contemporary feminist and poststructuralist discourses. Ultimately, in the author's view, Žižek is a thinker who seeks to rediscover the lost possibility of revolutionary gesture, combining intellectual provocation with the search for a new political subjectivity.
