Synopsis

The article is devoted to the figure of Vasyl Vyshyvanyi — Wilhelm von Habsburg, a representative of the European aristocracy who devoted himself to the Ukrainian cause. The author traces the hero’s life path — from childhood in the imperial family to the conscious acceptance of Ukrainian national identity. The text highlights the key stages of his biography, political activity, participation in the liberation movement, and tragic death in Soviet prisons. Vasyl Vyshyvanyi appears as a symbol of spiritual choice, an example of devotion to the idea of ​​freedom and solidarity between the peoples of Europe. The article combines historical analysis with a cultural and psychological dimension, emphasizing the importance of his figure for the formation of modern Ukrainian identity and national memory.
