This work represents an attempt to fill existing gaps in the understanding of the driving forces behind the life and thought of Hryhorii Skovoroda. It offers an analysis of the Ukrainian philosopher’s intellectual legacy in light of his engagement with biblical learning – evangelism. Particular attention is devoted to Skovoroda’s teaching on the symbolic world of the Bible, which is not limited by time or space and is presented as a source of true knowledge of God.
