Synopsis

The work brings together socio-philosophical essays on the relationship between the individual and the community — above all, the nation as a form of the historical and spiritual life of a people. The individual and the community do not contradict one another but mutually condition each other: the former is shaped within the latter, and the latter is composed of the former. The author argues that the optimal environment for the development of all personal capacities is the level of community defined by the nation. In turn, spiritually strong individuals nurtured by the nation are capable of embodying the energy of the community and advancing the process of state-building.
