Synopsis

In his work, Ivan Mirchuk explores Ukrainian culture as a key factor in the formation of a nation, offering a philosophical analysis of its anthropological foundations. He argues that culture is formed as a result of the interaction of man and society, determines the moral, spiritual and worldview orientations of the people, and it is precisely because of this internal basis that the people become a nation, and not only because of external political or historical circumstances.

In presenting his argument, Mirchuk appeals to the peculiarities of the influence of Trypillian culture, Byzantium, Greek civilization, as well as East Slavic traditions on the formation of Ukrainian culture, focusing on the integration of ideas through Christianity, literature and spiritual practices. Each of these peculiarities formed a unique Ukrainian cultural code that combines morality, worldview and art. Characterizing the early historical stages, the author seeks to emphasize the deep historical roots of Ukrainian culture, and to show the process of its development as continuous and interconnected with the formation of national self-consciousness.

Therefore, culture, according to the author, acts as a dynamic spiritual matrix that not only forms moral and ethical principles, but also ensures national self-preservation, conveys the idea of the unity of the people and allows them to realize themselves as a subject of history, combining historical facts, spiritual literature and folk art into a single analytical context.
