Material is a publication of the correspondence between Dmytro Chyzhevskyi and the poet Yevhen Malaniuk from 1954 to 1967. In it, Chyzhevskyi comments on Malaniuk's manuscripts and scholarly works, discussing questions concerning the history of early Ukrainian literature. The correspondence is accompanied by the editors' comments. The letters are printed from the original manuscripts (Nos. 1509–1521). All letters are presented without any omissions or stylistic editing.
