The fourth volume of Dmytro Chyzhevskyi's Philosophical Works brings together studies devoted to Hegel's philosophy and its reception in the European and Russian intellectual milieus.
The central place is occupied by the study "Hegel in Russia," in which the author traces the dissemination, assimilation, and reinterpretation of Hegelian ideas in Russian philosophical thought. The studies "Hegel and the French Revolution" and "Hegel and Nietzsche" broaden the perspective, turning to problems of the philosophy of history, revolution, culture, and the interconnection of different philosophical traditions.
Chyzhevskyi examines philosophical ideas in the context of their historical development and cultural reception. He shows how Hegel's teaching acquires new meanings in different intellectual milieus. The volume is an important source for understanding the history of European philosophy, the Hegelian tradition, and the particular features of its reception in Russia.
