The article provides a comparative analysis of the educational systems of Ukraine and the United States, focusing on common problems and different approaches to solving them. The author shows that despite external differences between the systems, both countries face similar challenges: insufficient funding, problems of academic integrity, and the need to align scientific training with labor market requirements. Bohachevska analyzes the American pragmatic and localized approach to educational reform, contrasting it with the Ukrainian desire to create a comprehensive concept for transforming the education system. The study pays particular attention to the phenomenon of the «American way» as an alternative to ideologically colored models. The author also critically reflects on the risks associated with the ideologization of the educational process and warns against reducing complex pedagogical tasks to abstract slogans.
