Olia Hnatiuk's article is devoted to a polemic with Andrii Savenets' article “From Ukraine to Ukraina, or The Language of Politics in Translation”(“Krytyka”), which deals with the Polish translation of Mykola Riabchuk's work Od Małorosji do Ukrainy (Krakow, 2002). The author of the article notes that the ethnocentrism in translation criticized by Savenets is not decisive for the genre specificity of the book and emphasizes that the translation decisions in the publication in question rather point to certain features of the Polish language.
